Update 5 fps problem

I have 165hz monitor and before update i had 82 fps lock. Now any multiplayer event is locking fps on 55.

RTX 3070
5600X

Looks like it's a forced tripple buffering. I was trying to change HZ rate and with 60hz mode i got 20 fps in multiplayer. And i can't turn it off in game settings, at least i can't see any option for it.
Yes, i tried to reset all my settings to default and restart PC, driver is new.

So, I did the testing.

With 240Hz now I'm getting exactly 60 FPS in the Featured Multiplayer with all possible settings (60, 60 (V-Sync), Unlocked, Unlocked (V-Sync)). Before the Update 5 it was maxed to 120 FPS.

After that I changed the refresh rate to 144Hz and with this it was 72 FPS in the Featured Multiplayer. Tested it only with Unlocked (V-Sync). Looks like I'll stick to 144Hz from now on, lol.

Can't test with 100Hz, my display doesn't offer this option.

Also, game is running more smoothly in general now.

You don't have 120hz option? I just helped my teamate with 360hz monitor. And he said with 119hz he got 100 fps in mp now.

Well, looks like it can be different for you. Because i think it's not only current hz and fps combo, also can be a max hz + current hz + fps combo, because for me 120hz gives 60 fps with 165hz monitor.
But still worth to try tho.

Unlimited will be more locked to your hz monitor

problem is going above 60 in update 5 is gonna cause you more problems and Mr Jitters will come out and play

I did 120 Hz and 100 Hz (added a new mode in Nvidia Contol panel) tests. As I suspected, 120 Hz = 60 FPS in Multiplayer. But 100 Hz has really surprised me: very stuttery 50 FPS witrh drops to 40, literally unplayable. In the same time I don't have any stutters with 60 and 72 FPS.

So, I'll stick to 144 Hz. It's the only mode which surpass 60 FPS for me.

Thanks for the tests. I also did some more to be sure.

165/55 — literally slide show and unplayable
120/60 — not super smooth and enjoyable, but MUCH better than 55
144/72 — kinda stuttery too, worse than 60, but better than 55
165/83 — very smooth

So i have to change hz to 144 before opening game, then load into the lobby, get 72 fps, then switch to 165hz again to have smooth 83fps gameplay every time now.

Interesting that 72fps is not smooth. Your FreeSync range is supposedly 48+
Should be working at least up to 52fps.
BTW I think they messed-up the Vsync of the game with this update.
No matter what combination I do now, 60fps still stutters from time to time. Wasn't like that before. It was perfect.

No, game is smooth for me both at 60 and 72 FPS in multiplayer.

Yes the performance is very bad, very long loading screens, stutter and freezes at races
