It DOES look crap, mostly due to the poor implementation of TAA which is more prevalent on AMD hardware than Nvidia.
On top of this when you look at optimised gfx settings from the likes of Digital Foundry higher settings actually look worse than lower settings.
I made 2 vids that highlight just how crap the game looks when compared to an older less demanding game and also how crap the AI are even on the highest difficulty..

You tell me, which of the two looks better to you?
Smeared gfx with piss poor performance plus garbage AI or ultra sharp detail with triple digit fps rates (@4K you'll see the fps counter bottom left) and AI that's actually aware you exist.
Bearing in mind this game was designed for AMD hardware in the console it's completely outrageous how poorly optimised this game is, especially as the game ends up looking worse after updates, crashes consistently and leaves me feeling my eyes need testing or someone smeared vaseline all over my monitor because it's permanently blurred to hell.
I reinstalled it recently to check and nothing has changed, it STILL looks atrociously bad, though to be fair performance HAS improved but not where it matters most, clarity, sharpness and AI that push your performance instead of just pushing you off track...
Guess I'll check back in another 6 months or so....
Well maybe not 'crap', but I still think they should focus on the open world TDU style game as opposed to a full track-based game.
I like to drive behind the wheel, and there is clear some car interior models that needs to be updated, but apart from that the game looks amazing for me.
Good news!
Hopefully it's a good setting this time instead of a desert...
On that note I too would like to see them make a remaster of Motorsport 3 as well, don't take anything out, no cutting corners, just update the graphics, and some other key elements.
I run it in 4k, who cares about TAA in 4k o_O You're posting 7 month old videos as backup? The game has improved in that time and will continue to. I get 90fps at 4k all maxed.
Runs great for me at 4k... no blur... try DLAA or something.
