Update 4.0 Perfromance
The game now runs significantly worse on my 6800XT 5800X system after 4.0.
I am getting frequent drops below 60fps and my GPU for some reason is now struggling to keep up. It's running at 100% but it's drawing very little power (~50%)
T10 have changed something and haven't optimized it.

I constantly run Benchmarks on my PC and there is no change on the performance of my system. In Cinebench, Superposition, 3DMark and other games my card is drawing almost double the power.

Edit: I am specifically mentioning useage vs power consumption, because previously at my current settings, the game kept 60fps at ~75% GPU useage and 50-60% power.
Now it's 100% all the time, so max load but same power, which is NOT the limit of my card.

Two Benchmarks. Same settings. Old one is even on my previous CPU (R5 3600X)
~20fps average more and no GPU limit. In the new one I am now GPU limited.

I don't have a saved Benchmark after I changed my CPU but naturally, the game was running even better with it, before 4.0

The optimization of the game is actually getting WORSE. The first Benchmark is from the Pre-launch client/version if memory doesn't serve me wrong.

Please, share your before/after patch benchmarks

Edit:
- Disabled SAM -> Solved the stuttering. No issue with SAM prior to 4.0
- Updated driver from 23.9.3 to 23.12.1 (this driver didn't work well on my system before 4.0) -> improved performance a little (~10fps)

I haven't noticed any performance changes in this update. I'm running i5 10600k with RTX 3070.

Substantial hit. I got my performance perfectly dialed-up before 4.0. Smooth 60FPS under all conditions. Now in Multiplayer it's a stutterfest.

for me performance is still the same as 2 months ago, always solid 60fps during races [4070 ti, 4K DLSS Quality all settings on High], but some frame drops during cutscenes and racing intros

shader optimization still sometimes boring as hell since everytime the game starts it does some % of this process... running the game from m2 nvme and I think after start screen everything loads pretty fast

overall I'm enjoying more this title than the previous FM7, but I think it still is an unfinished game and the only thing that keeps me going is that developers will be fixing the game along the way

Tried all other recent driver versions. Even worse performance. The game is no longer playable for me. I am done for the time being. It's over. After 4 months of me somehow evading the bulk of the technical issues other people had, T10 finally got me. Will check it out in 6 months. :steamfacepalm:

oh no you upgraded to 5000 series ....

It's AMD SAM....I swear one patch it needs it Off, the next On...
Turning it off removed the stuttering but the performance is still lower than before.

I did the upgrade to 5000 CPU like 2-3 months ago. Had no issues. Even improved the performance but very slightly. CPU upgrades doesn't seem to do almost anything for this game as long as it's not utter garbage. You are still going to get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ performance regardless if it's a 3600X or 5800X3D...The game doesn't know how to use CPU...

Yea, I played with SAM "on" before 4.0 because it was removing the stuttering, contrary to what most other people experienced.
Now on 4.0 for some reason, if I don't disabled it, I get stuttering...
So "off" it is for this patch then :steamfacepalm:

Updated to the latest driver as well (previously it didn't work well at all)
Now It does but I am still getting ~10fps less compared to 3.0

like each update i see no difference, specially DLSS is not fixed looks horrible at Quality compared to DLAA, i just posted that

In game benchmark is a joke, 90FPS in first run and 70 in second run.

You do know that DLAA is supposed to look better than dlss right?
