Which tracks are best for general tuning.

I'm a newbie to tuning, it's taken me a long time to start getting my head around it.

I wanted to ask for track recommendations for general tuning, I already use Old Malsanne Le Mans for gear tuning.

I've been using Catalunya GP for A class and higher, Catalunya National for B Class and lower, I've been using this track for all my attempts at tuning in Forza and Gran Turismo for years, but I wanted to ask if there are better alternatives to Catalunya, ones that are better for dialling out Understeer or Oversteer.

Suzuka if you want to test all types of corners.

For general tuning VIR has replaced Catalunya for me. Several car manufacturers test there and Car and Driver use it for their Lightning Lap test. Unlike Catalunya VIR has several low, medium, and high speed corners. As well as several sections with quick transitions. It really puts a car through its paces.

I use Maple Valley or Hakone. Seems to work since I'm nearly unbeatable.

Which layout of VIR would you recommend as it's got many.

I'd say use a different game altogether..
The tuning in FM7 has little to no relevance to real world tuning of race cars so any guides you might use will need to be FM specific or your cars will handle like boats...

I like The Grand Course which for some reason FM calls VIR West, I believe. It’s the same configuration that Car and Driver uses.
