Motorsport needs a game changer: DLSS 3.5
Let's face it: DLSS 2 is not cutting it.
FPS increase = 0 even on performance

dlss doesnt really work that well, or at all, in this game.
so frame generation would not work either until theyve solved the core problem with their implementation of the tech

but im all for them solving the issue and then adding frame gen. if bethesda can do it with starfield then there is no excuse for others to not follow suit

It uses 3.1.13 by default but it is not working correctly,on my particular system DLAA will stick, but DLSS will not and I used dlss swapper to switch to 3.5.10. No difference at all sorry.

They need to fix their crappy DLSS detection that doesn't work first

The regular DLSS needs to work first. Else 3.5 and/or Framegeneration doesn't work anyway.

Just for clarification 3.0 or 3.5 doesn't mean Framegeneration, it's just the later version of DLSS 2.0. In 3.5 the "Denoiser" works much better, what makes some games look even better with DLSS active than without. Simply because the picture is more stable if you use the Deep Learning of the DLSS. Before it was always a bit less stable except in some games like Death Stranding. That game always looked better with DLSS active than in native Res.

Hey man did you mean DLAA? or DLSS? DLAA I thought was the deep learning AA solution,it sharpens my picture a lot,but cannot be used in conjunction with res scale it would seem.

Using Deep Learning Super Sampling so DLSS 3.5 can already make the picture look more stable, because the DENOISING works better. I am talking about texture streaming not aliasing effects.

Digital Foundry made a video about DENOISING. Just scroll through the videos of them, i think they showed it in a Cyberpunk video and in a doom video or something.

The game just don't use the CPU well and DLSS wont fix that unfortunately, DLSS is really only helpful if the game is limited by GPU horse power, if the game poorly optimized or a vary weak CPU, DLSS wont do much to help.

go to nexus mods to forza motorsport page and go to github from there. MIGHT NOT BE ACCEPTED BY DEV

I just disabled RT (it seems RT is broken in this game like the DLSS ! ) and my stuttering is almost gone (almost cos sometimes , I see small stutter) but the game is smooth most of time now (all others graphical option to max)

Seem Turn10 and NVIDIA need to figure this out together. RT seems almost fine to me now, with the latest NVIDIA drivers and FM update.
Stuttering is always in the same spots... when crowded stands are becoming visible, FM seems to load "whatever" in the background.
Fan modded DLSS solutions are absolutely no option for me.

Alothough the overall performance and even RT quality slowly improves...
DLSS is still a total failure after update 3.
FPS with RT + DLSS (any setting) < FPS with RT + no upscaling (100%) + DLSS off

Wow...just WOW

Yeah thats because this game just don't use the CPU well so DLSS isn't going to magically fix that, DLSS only works if your FPS is not held back by the CPU, thats also why if you turn down settings, FPS doesn't really improve a lot. Turn 10 really needs to figure things out.

It seems, that the CPU usage is BETTER when DLSS is disabled.
FIX or at least keep FPS, but I have a FPS loss with DLSS enabled + reduced quality.
That is WOW.

DLSS doesn't actually work in this game.
DeadJericho Dec 13, 2023 @ 1:49pm
dlss definitely has an impact, but its very minor because the game is absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with multithreaded modern cpus.
so youre always going to be cpu bottlenecked negating most of the dlss benefit.
