CAN'T PASS FIRST SPLASH SCREEN FIX FOR RX580

I'm using a RX 580, since update 1.0 -2.0 i racked up about 441 hours of playtime... but since update 3.0 i’ve not been able to launch the game. and update 5.0 just give me an error code ( Unsupported graphics card detected code AP205 ) Failed to create D3D12 Graphics device… can’t even get a refund because i have 441 hours playtime...

this worked for me, you have to scroll down to see the below text then click the blue writing that says AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 23.10.01.14 for DirectX®12 Agility SDK Driver Version for Windows® 10 and Windows® 11 then the driver will start downloading. i used the amd clean up tool to remove my old drivers first..

This is not the same error at all. The same error is described in text in the first message of the thread. Your video card is officially supported. You had some other problem. Is this really so difficult to understand?
Today or tomorrow I will test the update7 with the latest driver. On the video card with which this error occurs. It seems like no one needs this except me. I predict that nothing will change. And I’ll probably stop writing here completely.

And I am sure that this solution will also help rx 4xx/5xx users. For me personally this case is closed.
Turn10 will not fix a problem that doesn't exist. All questions to AMD. They simply artificially limit the capabilities of older video cards in their new drivers. I think there is no need to explain why.

I have RX580 GPU and can confirm that the game works after installing 23.10.01.14[www.amd.com] driver. Before it used to throw AP205 error even with latest available driver.

Looks like the game now requires Agility SDK (With Enhanced Barriers) supported driver and unfortunately the latest drivers for RX4xx/5xx and Vega aren't supported.

I also tried to install driver version 23.40.14.01[www.amd.com] but it doesn't support my gpu.

Now we have to request AMD to include whats missing in the latest driver and allow us to play this game. Btw; I'm getting upto 60fps with medium setting and no FSR.

It looks like my rx vega died half an hour ago. For the test, I quickly installed an old rx 550.
So now I can also confirm that the game runs with the correct driver on rx 5xx =)
1280x720 low quality, without fsr - stable 30 fps.
On the rx vega 56 it was 1920x1080, very high quality, without fsr - about 50 fps.

Did you download it from the link given above? It is 644 mb file and make sure to tick factory reset while installing the driver. I have RX580 8GB from MSI and with driver version 23.10.01.14, I'm able to play this game without any error messages. Check my screenshot here[imgur.com].

Driver version 22.6.1 Agility SDK[www.amd.com] should also work for older GPUs but I didn't try because its too old version.

Non of these normal drivers help run this game on older GPUs because they don't support Agility SDK and the ones that support (i.e v23.10.01.14) aren't listed under RX580 or older GPUs but it does have the driver inside the package (inf/cat files).

As I wrote above, my rx vega 56 died recently (long overdue to be honest), and I tried it with the card that I have just in case of an emergency. Today I picked up the rx 6600 from the store, and now this is not my problem 100%.

I can confirm that AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 23.10.01.14 made the game work once again for me. I am running an AMD RX580 GPU and am running the game via Gamepass on the Xbox app.

Started crashing to desktop at first loading screen after over 60 hours of flawless play. No error codes.
4080 super and i5 14th.
Tried reinstallation and over an hour of trying settings and trying everything from GeForce Experience to drivers for all components. What is going on?
