Optimizing Shaders
My game takes about 6+minutes to optimize shaders every game. I have ensured the virtual memory is system run, I have updated my drivers and I have re installed the game. Does anyone else have a fix for this?

if you have amd gpu then the latest drivers might help
if you have nvidia or the drivers dont help then you are out of luck until t10 fix it. if they fix it.

do you have it installed on a SSD? If not you really do need one pal for this game

If you adjust anything in video settings next boot it will optimize the shaders.Make sure not to adjust anything and let it optimize, reboot the pc and see what happens on the next launch. Also adjusting the NV Control panel seems to do the same, causing shader optimization again. My 3090 doesn't do it since I stopped adjusting stuff and settled on some settings and made zero adjustments.....it is what it is,set it and forget it.

On your Nvidia control panel do you have shader cache on or off?

It's On... and set to unlimited under global settings....

I turned it on and it worked. However, I need it to be off for Hunt showdown, or else hunt studders and you cannot set shader cache for specific programs.

What kind of hell have we built?

Yeah it used to be under each game as well.I'm not sure when they removed it.It only takes a second to toggle it,but pretty it was a stupid move by nvidia tbh.

What is your PC spec? mine using rtx 3070ti and ryzen 5 5600x and also game install in NVME drive, my shader take just a few second to finish process tho

Well as long as I don't adjust anything mine doesn't do it at all,so there's that option,rofl.13400-3090-nvme....60-vsync.

AMD users mostly effected by this but some nvidia cards get it every boot

but expect optimizatiing shaders to happen every time you install a new driver

That's not a game issue though. Every other game that does shader compilation also resets after a new driver etc. Very common so i'm surprised to see an outcry about it only for this game.
