Games untouchable in terms of graphics if you have it fully cranked up with resolution scale pushed up as well. Horrizon isn't even close and there is nothing else available with these reflections.
Untouchable? You're seeing things, or just plain delusional
But you are on 4K screen, right? You mean 1080p at 200% scaling looks&works better on 4K display than native 4K. Interesting if so. I will have to test this but I play on 2K and when I chose the 1080p the game just spazes out with blinking lines on the side.
Another Q: Why not use 2K instead of 200% of 1080p. Shouldn't it look better since it's native 2k?
Not too sure about the DF claim that ultra setting runs the game at 4k even if resolution setting is lower. I’m at 1440p, on Ultra which means the game is rendering at 4K according to them, but I’m also doing the 200% and still getting locked 60fps on a 6950XT so that means game is rendering at 8k? I don’t think so. Doesn’t seem to even be a difference in performance for me between high and ultra.
Such a stupid way to have the options lol, took years and this is how they set it up.
i tested it and reported on other thread that are doing the same, i use DLAA, so when i put 150% it puts DLAA OFF, when you set DLAA ON again (or DLSS) it puts Resolution Scale at AUTO, so infinite loop i can't make it work above 100%
Using resolution scaling is almost never worth it. The game looks poor because of the muddy TAA and the motion blur + Lense flare.
If you want to make it look more high res:
- Use native resolution
- Max sharpen from driver
- Remove Motion Blur
- Remove Lense Flare
Run Benchmark and check if you are reaching desired FPS & you are CPU limited.
If that's the case then you have more headroom with your GPU -> Then you can try using more than 100% resolution scaling.
my monitor is 3840x1600 and when i put 125% or 150% it puts my DLAA OFF (or DLSS OFF) , so when i go on and turn on again it puts Resolution Scale on AUTO....and i'm in that loop, it only allows me to stay DLAA + 100%
