He won't understand,but I get ya man.I'm enjoying winning using any and all cars that strike me as might be fun to drive.No need to rush for anything.I really don't see what the big deal is to level every car to level 50,but I guess when you need every little advantage you can get to even compete,you do what ever is necessary.I could care less about the discount,so theres that too.... Love my Forza Motorsport with nexus mods for Sharper and Less Washed Out Visuals and UHD Reshade,together they will hurt fps,but I still hold 60fps/4k no RT.Looks really good now,until turn10 fixes the blurry mess they gave us.
Ironically progression systems, unlocks, and other such nonsense in racing games are rooted in the arcades and still exists because players just think that's how it should be.
I love cars, but my first love is aviation. In aviation sims, which are not rooted in arcades, you can fly anything, anywhere, with any load out from the get go. Yet hardcore sim racers think players need to work their way up from the slow cars to the fast cars and anything else is "arcade." In an aviation sim I can fly a tactical fighter or airliner that is VASTLY more complicated than any racecar (manuals over 500+ pages are the norm) as soon as the game boots.
No one pining for progression systems and the XP system can explain why this dichotomy makes any sense other than tradition.
They might but here is on what it depends.
In about a week it will be a full month since launch. The devs will pull statistics from the game and review it.
In regards to the CaRPG system, there will be 2 main scenarios:
1) what you are doing = leveling dozens of cars to level 50 AFK (they can't tell if it's AFK)
2) what I am doing = not leveling ♥♥♥♥ and not participating in this stupid system
Based on that statistic, they will decide if they need to take action. Not based on a stupid poll with 100 votes.
What do you think will be their interpretation if everyone does what you are doing?
If I were them, I would think that the majority is enjoying this system and the complaints on forums and polls are outliers, a vocal minority.

They can also tell if ppl use all assists or not. They collect lots and lots of data. They can see that ppl AFK grind and hate the system.

In some cases, the logic is more that with the cost of these cars, you should prove that you can actually drive before being trusted behind the wheel of a more expensive car. Would you want to take a $500,000 car out on a track without knowing that you can handle even a $75,000 car on that track and keep it under control if it was your own money? Cost of repair is something that is missing from these games.
I agree that progression systems where you have to drive the same car a lot in order to unlock better upgrades is a problem with design, and again, a lot comes down to there not being enough COST to upgrades/repairs to make people not want to just upgrade to max performance in every vehicle they have.
Even if it had 7000 it's still a minority compared to the 100 000+ players.
Your feelings or your insults are not going to change the fact that by leveling cars AFK like a bot you are contributing towards the DEVS decision of not only keeping this system but even calling it a success. That's what the goal of this system was in the first place: To make people rack up as many hours as possible. They don't care what you are doing in the game as long as it's ON.

I have even disabled all HUD elements related to the CarXP system. I am not even acknowledging its existence. The only thing I can't seem to get rid of is the stupid "coin" sound when you go through a sector checkpoint...."Cha-ching" like I am playing a mobile game....
But 40% played online where Car-XP is not an issue.
Sure u can now say "they enjoy only playin online" and that might be true for many.
I would never ever allow myself to think I speak for the majority since the majority of gamers is silent.
You can rather like car-xp or not. I hate it since I don't want to grind a car for an hour to make it stable - and there are MANY cars that are awful when played stock.
Well then the majority should stop farming AFK, cause when they pull their data they will see people are farming like crazy and they will keep it.
