My advice is to go to settings and turn proximity arrows on and increase your FOV and turn on the drift camera so your guy automatically looks towards the apex this helps spot them coming into the corners. They shouldn't be ramming and they do and they shouldn't be clumping up and they do that is on Forza to fix but a lot of times I get rammed out of what I feel is nowhere only to realize I just cut into someones line while they are full on the brakes and cannot avoid me. I'm pretty good and I'm sure you've done this too a few times so try and eliminate that and while it's still a problem with them clumping and reduces the issue a bit until forza fixes the tendency for them to stop running in groups and then crashing you.
But yeah, AI clumps a lot. Exploit track limits when possible to get around them.
I suck at braking so gotta learn before I go into real challenges.
with AI on 5 I was 3 seconds a lap faster round Maple Valley. started from the back and was in 1st by lap 2, with only an occasional side swipe.
I did a levelling up race at Spa, 13 laps and was back of the grid.
By the end of the race I was 2 minutes out front and lapped the last 5 cars.
Saying the AI is a complete JOKE is an understatement.
They brake test you when there's NOTHING in front of them...
They side swipe you as you pass them even though there's nothing on the opposite side of them.
They'll tail end shunt you in the braking zones as if you aint even there.
If they happen to cause you to spin they'll just keep going, again as if you aint even there.
As for MP? Hoppers instead of lobby lists? SERIOUSLY....?
Also a "bumper car" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ more often than not with muppets gleefully shouting about how they took you out...
On top of this the gfx look blurry af with ANY object more than 30m in front of you...
Replays? Appear to be locked to 16:9 despite me having a 32:9 screen so to actually get the "best" vids for YT I'll have to record live footage which will hit the fps hard (even on my 5800X + 7900XTX rig).
Not recorded any vids yet but when this is how AMS2 looks in replays and FM7 looks like someone smeared vaseline on my monitor, summat aint right, it's like the game overrides my chosen settings. Also note the AI RACE you and each other instead of smashing into you, making for a far more enjoyable experience altogether.

Also note the fps rate bottom left in green (you'll see it when set to 4K quality which STILL doesn't do AMS2 any justice thanks to YT compression).
Then there's the ghosting.. So bad cars out in front leave black trails behind them on the tramac for about a car length making them look like their wheels are 2-3 times their diameter.
It's sad, in fact, it's really TRAGIC! Because the game DOES looks stunning for everything close to you. Whilst all distant object make me feel my eyes are failing on me and I might need glasses!
The FFB is WOEFULLY bad without some SERIOUS tinkering but once dialled in it's 2nd to none.
The gameplay, aside from the atrocious AI behaviour, is great though.
I'll have to do some form of comparison vids. Not side by side as I aint got any editing software.
The plus's are the reason I'm keeping the game, there's HUGE potential here MS/T10 just need to LISTEN to their fans and not make the mistakes SMS made with PC3 and Codies made with Grid 2019 and Grid Legends, such as..
Ian Bell stating things like "PC3 will be all the sim you'll want.." and "If PC4 is fantasic, it was all me, if not I left 6 months ago..."
Codies total failure to address GLARING issues like HUD locked to the far left of the screen, "Fixing" it by locking it to the far left and far right making it utterly USELESS then posting comments like "No plans to fix the HUD on Ultrawides but we'll consider it for future titles..." and "No plans to fix LOD pop in but we'll consider it for future titles..."
THIS BS is why SMS was disbanded and PC4 cancelled by EA then, Ian Bell was fired as SMS CEO closely followed out the door by Codies CEO..
These downsides are the main reason I'll be sticking to AMS2 for online races, that and the RIDICULOUS decision to limit fps in rivals to 60 fps and half my refresh rate in online races to promote "Fairness"....
Guess I'll be getting that 1440P 240Hz 49" 32:9 panel cause then I'll be able to race online above 75fps, especially as I'm getting upto 120fps atm on my current settings.
Kinda makes their aim of "fairness" in online a total joke as the biggest "advantage" in racing games is between 30 and 60fps yet the difference between 60 and 120fps is well within margin of error.

T10/MS chose limiting fps over increasing it and forcing worse GFX just so capping the consoles to 60fps makes the game look a bit better rather than being honest that the XSX was NEVER a native 4K 60fps console...
I just wish I could turn off crossplay and avoid the 5 year old grown men who think winning by punting people off track is the norm.
