what is the deal with the Drievatars?

I play solo and I love the game, the engine sounds, the driving, it is incredible. But seeing XxXPwnUrMumXxX taking the podium just kills all possible immersion.
How hard is it to implement a random name generator for racers? Or even put generic names, anything works really.
Who the hell thought it was a good idea to put gamertags in single player races as names?

It mostly puts tags of your friends on NPCs, to make it feel more personal i guess. Also they claim that the drivatars mimic the playstyle of real players, so if the real XxXPwnUrMumXxX drives aggressively, the NPC one does too. Not sure how good this works though.

I just want normal names. Couldn't care less how they drive as AI in this game is trash anyway.

You can disable names being displayed in single player (and/or multiplayer), which at least reduces the distraction during the race. Won't help with results screens or the podium though.

yah i did that, my problem is only the podium. guess i need to learn to ignore it. i might have mental issues because it is triggering me more than it should.

Triggers me just as much too. They want to make it more 'serious' and separate it from Horizon, yet keep in this stupid feature.

ah yes, that might be it. in Horizon i didn't care much about it if at all. but yes, in a serious racing simulator i just want to be immersed into the atmosphere and God they did a brilliant job with the engine sounds. But they had to ruin the feeling of total immersion somehow. I guess I will learn to skip the podium part by spamming A. I swear to God there is no decent feature complete modern racing game.

After spending couple of hours more in the game I realized the drivatars are the least of its issues. It is a garbage game and a disgrace to Forza's legacy. The worst in the series by far.
And I am talking about the console version so zero technical issues.
