Yes you can adjust the FOV for every camera in Forza Motorsport.
Anyway, thanks for the video uploads. This post and a few other reviews saved me $100.
Maybe M$ should hire based on skill and performance, instead of trying to boost their companies ESG Score. <- That may make better games?
- Also more detailed scenario, you only have to see the part where they go up the hill, which in PC2 there is nothing in the background and in Forza there are several background elements.
- In Forza the rest of the cars that pass by you look wet (it varies from other circumstances when they are dry), in PC2 they look the same both wet and dry.
- This is crucial: The animations in PC2 of the rest of the cars seem more boxed, as if it were a moving shoebox, in Forza the movements are more graceful and realistic (even with a slight swing not only from left to right, but also from top to bottom), which gives a greater sense of realism in the race and on the track when the other cars pass by you. Example: In the Forza video, when the black car passes you on your left (from minute 1:56 to 2:01), the car makes a slight sway to the left and right (as if it were a "snake") and a slight up and down movement that feels elegant and natural, just like it happens in reality. In PC2 that is non-existent, since the other cars move as if it were a block, without that detailed grace.
- In the Forza video you say that the RT needs to be squeezed, despite this some elements on the sides are moderately reflected on the side of the track (min. 2.33), both the lights above the banner, as well as the fences and other things that are above. That's consistent with pouring rain, while PC2 lacks those effects and the entire track feels less vivid (in the same section, min. 4.35, the track looks absolutely dead).
- The most important thing is that the general feeling in Forza, when putting all the elements together, gives a feeling of realism and of being there on the track.
- It can be stated without a doubt that Forza Motorsport is currently the track driving game with the best graphics and greatest sense of realism. And I'm not just saying this because of this video, but because of other more detailed ones that I have seen at different times of the day with different weather (the way the pilot's arm is reflected in the windshield and how the sun's rays pass through during rush hour, and on a completely clear day, on the dashboard, with the shadow-light effect alternating in motion dynamically, it is completely crazy)
Not your settings but 4K (2K with DLDSR 2.25) with Digital Foundry's optimised settings (shown at the beginning):

(mind the game actually ran smoother than seen in the YT video, FPS counter on the top).
The scenery is very similar. Kyalami at noon with heavy rain, full grid. I think weather representation is what FM 2023 excels in and when the game looks at its best. Last minute shows the same track on a clear day (a bit pale for a summer day in South Africa, I think).
I am sorry, I just don't see the same things you do. Here is one of the comparison you describe is in favor of Forza:

In PC2 on the kerb there is even a puddle of water that is fully reflective and the overall difference in texture quality and resolution is striking.
This time I am using Clear Weather, 10:00 AM in both games.

Sorry mate, looks damn terrible even in 4K. Just look at 6:16
It's like the whole scene is rendered at 480p and upscaled to 4K.
Didn't like the inconsistent FPS and the bleak graphics in Project Cars (1&2), so I refunded them on release. Can't compare them directly now.
