Fps drop after a few races
I had a suspicion that it was a video memory leak, but even at low graphics settings my 3070 starts dropping frames. only restarting the game helps. Has anyone else experienced this?

I recently started encountering this. It's pretty bad.

if you are trying to use dlss, it seems to turn itself off after going into some of the menus, such as upgrading the car after winning a race. ill turn it on, run the practice and the race and its fine. after putting on new parts or tuning and starting the next practice, fps drops in half for me. looking at the settings, dlss is no longer listed, and only fsr is. restarting the game clears it up and i can run the next practice and race as it should, then have to repeat the process.

For me it’s multiplayer, as soon as a join a server it turns DLSS off and makes my gps go from 90average in single player to a choppy stuttery 45 fps.

The fact that they limit the fps for us shows they are messing with our settings when joining a server won’t surprise me if this is the main culprit.

I doubt it's them cutting the fps intentionally, I'd bet it more that the dlss implementation is broken.

How about fixing your clearly broken „from the ground up“ game? This has been going on since early access?!? Maybe we should get a update on this? There is some weird stuff going on, memory leak or the game doesn’t know what it needs for the next loading screens and keeps loading the same things over and over till the vram is full and system ram is overloaded

Same problem here. I open the game and the first race goes fine, but in the second race FPS drops to 17, 20 or 25. They need to patch this bug.

I run on a GTX1060 and I get small stutterings when racing multiple cars, but not every time.
Most settings are on Medium, cars on High and particles on Ultra.

1060? I have 3060 on 1080p and it feels like i try to run the game on a 1030.

I had an online race take forever to load so I watched task manager and the game used up 28 GB RAM at one point, then slowly released it and I was actually able to load into the race and play fine without restarting it.

Is the shader cache, something is messed up in there, as soon as you clear it manually and force it to rebuild the cache again is back to normal. Just like some UE4 games with DX12...

This 100%. I started noticing degrading performance and VRAM usage increase only to find out the game mysteriously swithed to "FSR off" when I had set it to "DLSS quality" before.
