Optimizing shaders...
It takes me around 20-30 mins for optimizing shaders everytime I launch the game. If i get a random crash, I have to wait another 30 mins to play again. It is horrible. I spent my first 2 hours of the game crashing and optimizing shaders so I cant even refund it. I have enjoyed what racing I have managed to get into however. Just hoping someone has a suggested fix for my issue. TIA.

I'm running
i9-9900k
RTX 2080 Super
32 gb Ram
Installed on NVMe ssd
latest graphic drivers also installed.

It's pre-release, you can try refunding it. The game isn't even out yet.
I have the same problem with the shaders and a TON more so I am giving it a shot.
I don’t have this issue with my NVidia 2080 max-Q in Win10 but it does happen with my AMD 6800u system with Win11 . It always optimize shaders in the later, on boot.
I don’t have any crashes in both computers, thought…
I don’t have this problem with any other Forza

Ok, so seems that this is a known issue by them at least for AMD systems:
https://support.forzamotorsport.net/hc/en-us/articles/21456702310931-Known-Issues-Forza-Motorsport

"Graphics - AMD machines running the PC builds will perform the entire shader precompiling step at every launch. Faster machines should be done in a minute or so, but older machines can take several minutes. (Steam, WinStore) (1607128) (Date Updated: 10.04.23)"

It does not explain the issues with NVidia + Intel users

Hey, can I ask you how does it run on your 2080 max-q?

66-70 fps at 1080p with Medium settings preset and DLAA on Ultra.

You can do a game reboot right after the game 1st time loading shaders.
This way the game remembers it and it wont take so long.
Still nothing else to do i guess

I already tried this and unfortunately the shaders still take 20+ mins

It used 1-2 minutes first time generating shaders here and next time the game started instantly.

RTX 3070
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
32.GB RAM
M2 SSD

Guys, I finally found a fix for this if you are running nvidia.

You need to go into Nvidia control panel and under 3D settings select the option "Manage 3D Settings"

On this menu make sure you are in the global settings tab and scroll down to the option that says "Shader Cache Size" and set it to unlimited or something large enough for the games shaders to store on your system.

For me the latest driver had it off by default which is why forzas shaders are not being saved to my system, and have to optimize everytime. Hopefully this helps some of you having the same issue I was having!
