A fix for stuttering... I guess
So ya, I have a i5-13600k (locked OC) and 4070 ti and game will stutter every 5 seconds and drop fps. Today i was downloading some games and the cpu utilisation was quite high even before starting FM. When i did, guess what, the stutters were completely gone, smooth as butter.

I noticed the stutters came back as soon as the downloads in the background finished. So i started up cinebench in the background on 10 minute thermal test and the game runs smooth again. lol what kind of optimisation is this? I have to crank my cpu load for the game to start using it?

Let me know if anyone else notices this if you're suffering from random fps drops.

If you have a Nvidia GPU make sure to try todays new gpu drivers, helped make things more consistent performance wise for me this morning compared to last night before gpu driver update. I now have much more consistent FPS and no stuttering. Was also able to put a few settings up higher since this GPU driver update.

Ok, just wanted to make sure. Hope things improve for ya with some updates from the devs! This gpu driver update made things alot more consistent for me, now it doesn't go below 60fps at all for me, where as before it woudl fluctuate all over the place.

Yeh guess ill have to wait. It kind of ducks, if it was a 20 € indie game ok but its not the case

Have you tried turning off hyperthreading? It really helped my 12700,nice and smooth now, using a nvme drive.6-cores seems to be optimal according to Digital Foundry and my personal testing...

Nope, got me hyped tho, was able to do half circuit without one but then......thanks for the help anyway

Just tried the new nvidia drivers and the frames were slightly more consistent but still dips. My benchmark graph without a stress test in the background is all over the place (frametimes), but again when i load up the cpu burner test on Kombuster (4 threads) i get rock solid performance again.

I did disable hyper-threading and unfortunately it did nothing to my performance without the stress tests again.

Not seeing ANY stuttering. I'm on older hardware too - 8600k and 3060Ti. But I'm on an NVMe drive. Not a single stutter anywhere in sight. And believe me, I HATE stutter.

i have a 13600k aswell (4080) and using win10 and had the same problems.

Disabled the E-Cores in Bios and now the game runs buttersmooth. The Game seems to bind cpu-task to e-cores instead of p-cores on win10. I heard Win11 is better for 13th gen.

This solved it for me, thanks!

Hey man just wanted to say thank you, that was exactly the issue. Disabled e-cores when i got home and the game runs buttersmooth. Kinda sucks we need to gimp our cpu's though but until it gets ironed out, at least there is a way to play.

You the real MVP!

good to hear it worked for you guys too. you could mark my thread as "best answer" so other people running into the same issue with 13th gen, can solve it too. i even experienced other games like ac mirage, which had stuttering/lags too also did got buttersmooth after disabling e-cores.
