Forza Motorsport

Forza Motorsport

Vezi statistici:
Blurry game issue, there is the solution (if the developers care at all)
So i reinstalled Forza Motorsport 7 to compare the graphics between the 2 games and i think i found what's wrong in the new FM.

First of all, i played the new Forza for about 3 hours and got tired of the graphics, everything on Ultra and the game looked realy bad, a lot of blur on the image with Motion Blur Disabled.

What i figured out after installing FM7, in the graphics settings there was a setting to control the AA of the game and it was MSAA, the game looks realy clean, especially the rendering distance of the game and far objects.

That basically means that this game is using TAA (well known for it's blurry mess in some games) and that seems to the problem, just add MSAA to the game (like RDR2, it has both settings)

I know there is DLAA for nvidia users as well but since i got an AMD GPU i don't know how it looks. ( rip amd users ;/ )

Temporary Solution #1: Increase the Rendering Resolution Scale to 130 instead of Auto or 100.
Temporary Solution #2: Use the sharpness filters on your AMD and Nvidia Control Panels.

The solution right now is to use 130+ resolution rendering and NOT use DLSS/DLAA. It doesn't seem to really impact FPS too much, at least for me with a 3080. I am stable 60fps on high/ultra without RT.

DLSS and DLAA seem like they aren't working properly. They are way too blurry. DLAA especially.

That's the problem, not every GPU can keep up with more 30% resolution scale, that's almost the jump from 1080p to 1440p.
And seems like every AA setting in this game is broken xd

Glad to see I'm not the only one. I have jaggies AND blurry visuals at Native 1440p. GOOD JOB TURN 10! You somehow made two opposite problems combine. That's crazy.

well i just tried the 130% and kinda fixes it, + the sharpening on the adrenaline for amd helps abit but yea they still need to fix it cuse this shouldnt be an solution at all, tho we still need to get drivers for the game

im also in 1440p

3080TI here and at 130% resolution scaling the performance gets very bad in heavy rain weather condition. Like sub 50fps bad. I am on digital foundry's optimized settings as well.

havent tried those, im all maxed out and i m around 80 to 144 fps tho the game got some weird stuff goinmg on like droping my gpu usage from 100 % to 50% in some maps , in some just runs erfect at 100% all the time , but in 2 maps it drops from 100 to 50 ish and that will drops my frames to 60 out of no where lol, nothing to do with temps gpu stays around 50c cpu around 45c ish
The motion blur is giving me a headache, to be honest. It's off, yet it's still there in the form of a really annoying ghosting effect.

Other than that, the game runs surprisingly well on my old PC. 1080ti, 8600k, 1440p. I locked it at 60fps and it stays there for the most part, with some dips to low 50's on heavy rain at night. High settings, Mid mirrors (looks horrendous!) and windshield reflections.

I know my PC is not the best for this game, but it shouldn't look this bad. Horizon 5 runs triple digits all at Ultra and even at High, it looks FAR better than this game when comparing the same assets (ported cars, wheels, etc). Apart from 4K and Raytracing, I would expect this game to look at least as good as Horizon 5.

My thought was you need a monster computer to run it at 4K with raytracing to really see it shine (and I almost build one today), but even people on 4090's and 13900k's are saying the game looks like butt. I'm holding off on a new rig until they fix the visuals.

Restarting should fix those issues. I have same problems randomly occurring.

Yeah i'm not sure that will work in my case, using a 3070 with Digital foundry's optimised settings and the game still struggles 30fps at 1440p. Weird as hell given videos online show a slight worse setup then mine on full ultra 1440p no RT/DLSS is getting 70fps

I saw that video too, he has a wrong setting in the video settings, he set the Dynamic Render Quality to Low instead of Ultra or High, that's why his fps are so high.
