force feedback feels awful
After about 7 hours playing on my moza r9 it feels unplayable. Ive diddled with the settings, but even after that theres major game breaking issues in the engine their using. Theres a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weird deadzone about 30 degrees where if you turn either way after that it feels unbelievably synthetic. Another major game breaking issue is the centering spring settings, when turning half way through whatever rotation it continues with full torque to the max rotation for whatever way your turning, its literally unplayable.

Not sure how theres so many racing games that get basic things right, with a tenth of the budget of this game. Not even in the settings is there a basic set rotation amount. Its really disappointing because imo the gameplay and rest is pretty decent, but the force feedback is garbage and wont be playing with wheel until addressed.

Also in my opinion the wheel going to MAX torque without you wanting that happening will cause injury especially if using wheel bases with 10+ newton meter power, its pretty jarring.

that helped, but also have the strange deadzone you describe (tm 300)

I agree - when the tires slip, the ffb essentially turns off very early.. way different than other sims.

It has enough configuration options to leave it to your liking (in fact it has more configuration options than the usual sim racing ones), you simply don't know how to do it.

In Forza the only setting I mess with is dampening. Lowering this will leave the wheel feeling looser like you turned on power steering in the car. It reduces the jarring sudden lack of grip when the car starts to plow.

Nope, mehcanical trail does that. Damping is a different animal

That funny dead zone, got it out by setting the steering to 2 axis, even though im only using one, another quirk of this game i suppose.
