Forza = load screen/cut scene misery

Never in my life would I think to say I can get playing a game on Rfactor 2 faster than this. The constant load screens, slow load times and cut scenes every 3 seconds make for a ridiculously painful experience . Can I please just play the game. This is Awful!

FM7 was the same. I enjoy the game but when I think about playing it, I think about the load times and am like "nah"

Do you run the game off of a SSD or an HDD?

My load times are super fast, I have a gen 4 NVMe ssd

I've tried all the registry tricks and such too, running off M.2 SSD. Optimizes shaders then spins forever on the loading screen. Haven't made it past anything and hotfix update still...

That doesn't sound normal. Shader optimization should take a couple of seconds, but loadtimes have not been longer than 3 seconds.

The storepage *explicitely* states that an SSD is required.
In Horizon 5, the difference between an SSD and an HDD in the initial boot were literal minutes. On an SSD, the game starts immediately, from an HDD, it takes up to 5 minutes to initially load.

Even running off of an nvme ssd it's still annoying despite them being fast. The constant loading and little cutscenes feel so unnecessary

Definitely not normal. Shader optimization does only take a couple seconds but then we free spin on the splash page. Nobody has posted a fix for it yet. Has to be Steam - Forza related.

Im stuck in the same situation. I start the game and its just stuck on the opening loading screen. Really sucks. Was really hoping to play today after work but i guess minecraft will have to do if i can't get into the game in the next 10 min.

It could be Nvidia - Forza too but I'm just surprised it's been nearly 24 hours and still no hotfix. There's a decent sized group of people experiencing the same issue.

Don't forget that the game isn't officially out for a week,
This is still officially considered Early Access.
They are most certainly working on a Day 1 patch and taking EA experiences into consideration

The only thing P'ing me off right now is the fact that it never saves my last race, complete championship, quit, watch youtube / read, whatever, I start the game up again and need to do the final race again! every time.

Switched my file to my Ssd and it did make a huge difference in load times. There is still some video mess ups and screen lag every once in a while but the difference in load times makes it much more bearable.

See? That's why the storepage says SSD required :D Glad it's working better now :)
