sounds like a problem with radeon typical Junk cards with trash Drivers especially 7900 series

Dude it happening to everyone including Green team at least our cards have usable amounts of vram and arent overpriced as ♥♥♥♥

Having same issue on gamepass version too.
I'm running 5950x with 7900xtx 64gb 3600mhz ram.
I have even reported the bug to AMD since I get a Report tool upon crash. I have both Overclocked.
Is the only game I have issues with Star Citizen smooth 60+ fps

new NVIDIA driver dropped 537.58. maybe it will work better

edit: crashed again on second lap of practice on a race. I didn't DDU to install the new driver unless that was needed

I was gonna do game pass + premium add ons but looks like it was MS store only and I wanted to own on Steam. Sort of makes sense I guess

Just thought the game would work out a little cheaper buying the top version outright if I plan to play for more than 6 months or a year

Set performance target to auto and raytracing to off (it is auto by default). I think both options are in advanced graphics sub-menu.

It helped with my crashes, 7900XTX.

i had the same issue with an RTX 3070 , try to keep everything in auto in video setting and change only dynamic resolution from Ultra to HIGH

I managed to fix it last night, not tried playing again since, but did DDU uninstall of driver plus clean installation tick box redownloading it and not really messing with Nvidia control panel settings besides setting prefer maximum performance

This works for both microsoft store version and steam version.
This fix works for 95% of us having the game crash, explorer.exe is here to blame for, for what ever reason.


For anyone wondering, create a shortcut of ForzaMotorsport to anyway, copy the path of the shortcut and paste it within the " " Yourpathtoshortcut like so:

I had the same problem but now i cant even start the game. I log in with my microsoft account then the game starts for a short time, i see the turn10 screen an then the game closes and wants me to log in again.

edit: i just found out that i can start the game without internet connection but when i turn the internet on again, the games closes. Forza Horizon 5 has the same issue.

It's data trying to upload that makes it crash. I changed my LAN line to WIFI and the crashes stopped. WIFI is more forgiving when uploading data.

For me on AMD 7900 XTX the crash was fixed by setting performance target to 30 FPS with Vsync. The game actually runs at 72fps which is half the refresh rate of my monitor. Not bad, at least I can play the game I paid early access for, ten days later.

Try to set your resolution to ANYTHING ELSE that 4k. That fixed this specific crash for me. I am using a 7900 XT on driver version 23.4.1 if that helps.
