At times, the game can look damn near gorgeous.
Then you'll see the pit crew with textures / decals straight from 2002 that refuse to load in. There's also this kind of, "plastic-y" feel to it visually sometimes.
Probably one of the most inconsistent games in terms of graphical fidelity that I can think of in recent memory. It's never truly ugly, but it goes from stunning to hilariously unimpressive more often than it should do.
Really hoping that incoming drivers will resolve any issues, or a day one patch (optimistic) is planned to improve quality across the board.
Use DSR. unless you have AMD, rip you
I have advised people to turn off Motion Blur, Lense Flare and add extra sharpening tru their video driver. It pretty much makes the game look crystal clear in most scenes on 1440p. It still needs updates and new drivers but it's enjoyable with these tweaks. Also Render resolution should be 100% at least. Higher, if you card is powerful enough.
That's a great video! Thanks for that. It confirms a lot of things we assumed and backs-up with tests.
I think a BIG issue here is that the functionality of the settings is not logical and players don't know how to adjust their settings. There are a lot of weird choices compared to other games and very little in-game explanation. I am pretty sure many people experiencing issues simply have miss-configured their settings, because of how convoluted everything in the options is.
I mean why did you buy it blindly expecting bells and whistles and you get sour lemons?
Why do you repeat these same old practices and then regurgitate the same old '' Game is crap refund'' or ''Game plays awesome no probs just cry babies'' and furthered diatribe?
Its like reading a script about children in the playground in infant school.
Never ever is there genuine constructive criticism of the fact you numpties bought it in the first place and at preposterous pricing just to be the first to complain!
I mean seriously what is wrong with many of you?
I predicted all of this. I said you will all be changing your tune soon enough when you realise it looks and plays better on a bloody console. of what is was designed for.
I have watched a number of reviews both for and against it. The drivel about ''wow it looks so amazing'' when in fact it looks up to Project Cars that was made years ago.
You all believe the Emperor is fully clothed when right in front of you he's stark bloody naked.
Then you grace this paperless forum with your whining incessant stupidity of buying it in the first instance!
Sometimes you will all need to grow up and understand how you alone contribute to this regurgitated rubbish year in year out.
And no. I do not subscribe for I favour intelligent retort not toxic venomous nonsensical whinges from people that must fight their corner because they've invested in utter crap!
I'm nearing sixty. I read constantly this same almost identical rhetoric on each passing rip off you've fell into hook line and sinker.
Sometime soon, an awful lot of you are going to need to grow up, and preferably sooner than later.
Its like groundhog day after every ridiculously hyped game is released.
And to add $140.00au for the pleasure of it!
My God some of you need your heads felt.
Bye now.
