Honest Review from a day one Forza fan
The latest installment in the Forza series dazzles in many areas. Visually, the cars look stunning, with intricate details that show the meticulous effort put in by the developers. Add to that the remarkable ray tracing on PC, and you have a game that often feels almost lifelike. The audio work is commendable too, with cars sounding as great as they look.

But after waiting for six long years, the bar was set high.

Where it shines: gameplay improvements are noticeable, offering a distinctly "Forza" experience - familiar yet refined, and undeniably superior to its predecessors.

Yet, there are areas that could use polishing. Customization feels limited; tow hooks and a basic spoiler just don't cut it for deep personalization. The community's voice seems to have been sidelined, as cherished features from Forza Horizon 5, like launch control and anti-lag, are absent. And a cheeky nod to the developers: even we, the metric system folk, have a soft spot for HP over KW – a quirk Horizon 5 understood quite well.

One peculiar observation: while the game generally looks fantastic, there are moments when the visuals lean towards being cartoonish. Maybe it's a quirk with my setup, but the graphics sometimes don't feel as immersive as I'd anticipated.

The lack of iconic circuits, like the Nordschleife, the omission of VR support, and the intricate wheel setup process further weigh down the experience.

In conclusion, while the new Forza Motorsport offers much to praise, it doesn't wholly redefine the genre as some might have hoped after such a long wait. I'll certainly be spending numerous hours on the tracks, but with heightened expectations, I can't help but feel there were some missed opportunities. Here's to hoping future updates lean more into community feedback and wishes.
