Many games that do this have periods of unreliability, and that is something we now have to anticipate and cope with. It's not fun, but it is the world we live in.
Fortunately, we still have some games that aren't like that, but they are getting long in the tooth...and it is nice to try new things out.
I assume their servers won't be too much of an issue, most of the time.
I was thinking about it just now, I'm disappointed
Sheeeep
I have The Crew 2, and it's not cool not being able to use the game when servers are down.
Xbox didn't do it well here.
Nope, that's not a good idea.
Talk about two extremes.
People aren't sheepish for understanding the limitations and not caring (as much as others), but at the same time, it isn't the smallest thing in the world.
That is an oversimplistic view. Servers have issues, servers go down. And you won't have access to your game. Not a hard concept. It is a problem for other games, this game will not be immune. But there is no guarantee it will constantly bad either.
I don't think they'll do something that stupid and anti-consumer. FH5 is always online, but if in the case it fails to connect, progress is saved locally.
Judging from there constant issues with Flight Sim and its tendency to kick people off line every time they patch it I would say we are in for a rough ride.
Though, I admit, I'm not sure where I read it to review again.
Apparently single player progress is also connected to server. No connection = no progress
