Private Multiplayer completely unusable

Before update 1.0 we were able to stay connected to full or nearly full private lobbies with little issue and only occasional game crashes for individual players. Ever since the update we've been unable to stay in a private session for more than a couple of minutes before almost everybody crashes out, usually multiple people going at a time. Completely unplayable :(

I have it on xbox series x. I connect with my family to play and she runs hers on PC from Steam. When the game came out we had no problems. Few crashes and for her the road sometimes disappeared but it worked. Since the 2.0 update we cannot play at all. Every time we get to the pick your car lobby she is booted from the private multiplayer. It doesnt matter if she hosts the game or I do. We have tried reinstalling and adjusting any settings we can and she still drops on car choice screen.
