I fixed it by making sure all graphics options were set to something other than "AUTO".
After that everything worked perfectly and I haven't had any missing objects since.
Like the game's textures give a damn how many screens you got...
The minimum requirements state SSD.
20% of the community who have issues most of them are just running on HDD
I have a Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB with Heatsink and i use Windows 11, so the game even uses Direct Storage. I never had texture issues. I play the game with the Digital Foundry Optimized Settings but without RT. V-Sync and G-Sync is active in the Nvidia Control Panel, i turned off V-Sync ingame and set it to unlimited FPS ingame.
I only got 2 crashes in like 90 hours, never had texture issues. The only problem i have is bad frametimes and sometimes stuttering if i play with drivatars. If i am alone on a track, there is like 0 stutters and frametime problems. So it all has to do with bad CPU optimization that i have performance issues.
Usually the problem sits in front of the monitor and it's not the game or the hardware, it's mostly a user problem. Many ppl are just too dumb to use computers, simple as that.
There are ppl wondering why they have connection issues with a "Strict NAT Type".
There are ppl wondering why they have problems with games in general, with Kaspersky or other nonsense blocking so pretty much everything on their computers including their game folders.
There are ppl that max out their V-RAM and then wonder why there are texture problems. Spoiler Alert you can't play the game maxed out in 4K with 8 GB V-RAM and expect it to run without errors. In general there should always be 2 GB free V-RAM as a buffer.
I put you on the blocklist and bye.
Then the game plays flawlessly.
I see a name I recognise. One that is blocked. I remember why.
This and much more is why modern gaming has gone to the dogs.
When you have a total and utter 'Kevin'' exclaiming the game is the best thing since sliced bread'' against an ocean that argues the opposite you know you are dealing with a thoroughbred numpty.
Now back to Age Of Empires.
but i got frequent crashes since the forza update specialy in a party
so i found out windows 11 update (KB5031354) can be problematic after uninstalling this win 11 update i suddenly got missing textures lol at this point man iam pretty sure the stuff that happens with forza is not only forzas fault.
Iam not sure yet if the crashes are gone or different than before as i did not played MP without this update.
