Changing gearboxes

It was possible to change a gearbox in FH5, like swapping a 6 gear for a 8 gear and the like. You can change a drivetrain and an engine in FM. Is it possible to swap a gearbox too? I haven't found where you do this in FM. Does anybody knows how to do it, if possible at all?

Sadly no. What you can do is put a AWD into the car, that always has 6 gears iirc. But that is only workaround sadly.

It really is horrible having to drive cars with 8+ gears. Sure the auitomatic folks don't care, but having to shift so often is annoying as hell. I also always hated the tunings in FH5 that have 7+ transmissions in them. I mean 7 is still okay ish if the car is fast, but NEVER 8, 9 or even 10.

You can swap/upgrade the transmission from stock to street/sport/race, but only on the lower tier cars that don't come with race trans already as stock.
All the ones I've driven with "stock" transmission have 4 gears, where as race trans come with 6.

I though as much, no gearbox swap at the moment. I use manual shifts so too many gears (8 or more) sometimes become a pain in the butt. I think 6 is the optimal number
