You ought to ensure you have run the DirectX Updater since you are using Windows 7, also Ensure you have up-to-date MSVC Runtime components required by the game (The installers for these should be packaged with KAtRPWG)
You haven't mentioned what DLC you have or what graphics settings you run the game in - these may well be a factor.
I made some posts and a thread here a while back, about the crashes. For me, restarting every 3 or 4 battles seems to help with the crashes, but I just got another one trying something a user suggested in one of the other threads.

C++ runtime error. The launcher.exe requested it terminate in an unusual way. I have been trying to correct this for years, and never have found a perfect solution.
Shame, as this is really a great game. I wish Neocore would come up with a patch to correct it. There are those all over the net that complain about crashes in this game.
