The Power Disruptor is a big upgrade from the rechargeable one. No down time. As long as you have the power, you can knock out as many guards as you like. Requires a power intensive crew\gadgets to fully realize the advantage.

Also: I occasionally buy one because I can't find another weapon for my newly-rescued agent.

So there is no recharge time? Thats good to know, still, it would take 12 power to take out three armored guards.
This has changed my perspective and i might even pick it up next time.

Volt Disrupters vs Neural Disrupters are up to your preference. Neural Disrupters don't cost you PWR but have recharge times, meaning you can't use it consecutively if need be. Volt Disrupters have no cooldown but take PWR so you're limited by how much PWR you have at the moment. Volt Disrupters, when you have enough PWR, often are a better option in the long run.

Also, an important thing to remember about disrupters is when you play Endless Mode, you may get the Pulse Archdaemon at the start of a mission. This causes all items with cooldowns to have their cooldown increased by 3. Since Volt Disrupters lack cooldown, they aren't affected by that Archdaemon. But in the end, it's really a matter of preference. Trying to avoid guards and not having to knock them out is always the best option. Knocking out a guard should only be necessary if you need to get past them and there's no safe way to get around them.

Thanks for the tips, i really apreciate them as i have only beat the game on beginner thus far. i think i prefer Neural Disrupters as they are more reliable in easy situations, however, i do now see that in a tight spot, Volt Disrupters are the best option.

Most agents only get one attack per turn. Stims or Nika's special ability make volt disrupters more useful - multiple KOs in a single turn can be nice.

Stim III does, at least. Not sure about lower-tier versions

It's not add second it's refresh existing one (if it was performed), and it's in description (but maybe little unclear). Only Stim III (and if only one agent currently have enough stealth/speed to use it, he can inject it to comrades or prisoners/hostages).

well it depends, Power Distrupter has no rechare but it cost power. you can pull off insane combos if you have enough power. powerdistrupet stun a guy, stim then stun his frend, stim and stun mr bossman. DEAD, but your power is 0.

the Distrupter does not cost power but it recharges, and it ryhchares LONG, if you like armor piercing, its boring

Currently running with ♥♥♥♥♥ and (SPOILERS FOR UNLOCKABLE CHARACTER) Central for my Faust and Brimstone run. (I also found Shalem11 as I seem to always do.)

♥♥♥♥♥'s Volt Disruptor is proving to me how valuable power :iidisrupter:s are.
