You should be able to leave from the transport pad you arrived at if you have the device and it's past the 20 turn limit.
Thanks for the help, tried again and for some reason it worked now, i think I was on turn 24 and it let me out.
Wow that's rough, I got a pretty easy one, it was just a big ass room with lots of cover with everything connected to it.
Look at the top of the game window and it tells you how many turns you've had. You can't go by the alarm level because alerted guards, killed guards or daemons can bump that up.
Take a look at the upper right part of the screenshot where it says "Turn 34/Day 10 /Endless"

The same as in Detention Center mission, when you need hack it by Incognita and then agent should stay close to it and press buttons by hands.
Maps getting revealed by hacking databases, those that are so squarey, you might be mistaken.
About voiceline, in short, sense of it is like this:
Monster: scientists, should we interrogate them?
Central: nah, they had tons of defense incription layers anyway, no need to bother
