tired, how to play?

i noticed the game ends at different times, but unsure as to why or what my goal is. it seems like im trying to build as big as i can, but i'm not sure what would cause the game to end suddenly?

you get them for certain things. placing a pier gives island cards, etc. some tutorial would be nice, maybe some info will be added later.

A tutorial would be okay to add, but I feel like the game is mostly intuitive. See card, click card, place building - oops that was bad, place it better next time. Giving a goal of "Build the Castle" and then "Set a high score" would be enough for *most* imo

found the game fun and intuitive, plus it's fun to figure out alone.
but the grey circle which means drawing card (I think?) I really couldnt figure what it meant for a while. how does a grey circle represent a card?

I don't understand this game. Each time I play, I get a bunch of cards and lay them down. When the entire stack is placed, I get a message that says "game over." What am I supposed to be doing differently?
From reading the above I gather that I need to make more money somehow, but since what you can do is limited by the cards you get, how do you even do that?

you're supposed to make the most out of the cards you're dealt by reading what they do and placing them as best as you can, that's the entire point of the game.

its about card placement and luck, so its possible to only be able to lay a few cards down in the beginning and run out of cards or money without strategy being a factor

It looks more like an energy bar or an hp pip. I tried manually adding the four corner pixels and it looks a bit better, but you could probably make it bigger/taller so it's about the same height as a capital letter.

Also the population head icon looks like a skull on the card.
