i just downloaded the game, been playing the demo for awhile. i can't seem to make any progress on the full game past a few draws. is there an issue?

Maybe I'm dense but I don't see how to get Castle cards in order to build the castle. I searched the forums and others seem to have been able to get to Castle level 3 or 4, so it must be possible :D But how?
