Thanks on idea list.
My friends and I used to comment about this during the game, as it would be good to make drift like arcade games like Hot Pursuit or Burnout.
Drifiting simpler and yet fill the nitro bar so the game does not lose speed.
And of course, splitscreen of 4 people would be very welcome.
1. GPU Physx support
2. SOFT BODY PHYSICS
3. A way to keep the campaign interesting for longer
4. More things to spend campaign cash on
5. More interesting/entertaining weapons
If the just the first 2 are achieved, I'll PRE-order 2 copies!
-The return of Duke/Arnold and other parody voices.
Be it the same voice clips, or different ones. I've not tried the other voices yet, but having these parodies quoting popular characters is fun. Bruce Willis, Bruce Campbell, Vin Desiel, Jason Statham, the list goes on. (I would say Nolan North, but Saints Row 3 already did that)
-Some AI Tweaks?
Not sure about this one, as I can't tell for sure, but there seems to be some rubber banding going on. While it makes sense in a combat racer, the reason it's often disliked becomes apparent when you can dominate an entire race, take the last corner slightly wide, and end up in last place.
-Tweaks to knockout
Very minor point. Knock out shouldn't knock out the last racer, but the last person on the board. Maybe it's the point, but I'm weary of killing people because, lets say I'm in third, and kill the person in second on the last corner, if I can't take first, I'm out. Whereas if I leave them alive, I can take second, leaving them to be knocked out.
-Tourniment/Carear overhaul
I'm torn on this one. While I do like the "do whatever you want, it's all progress" mentality of the game, I would like a little bit more structure, maybe? Being able to return to old races with an overpowered car, or perhaps having different leagues and brackets? Again, not sure, as I do like this "do whatever" approach, but at the same time, it's a bit meh that I have to keep buying cars just to stay competitive.
-Swatches for customization
Super minor nit pic. Nothing wrong with the RGB picker, but it's a pain (esp when using a controller) to try and get a specific colour, especially since I like having common colour schemes, or I just want "Yellow" and have to faff around trying to get a yellow that doesn't have a green tint, or whatever.
-Auto repair after race
I see no reason not to repair, unless it gets really expencive in the late game.
I do have other ideas, but this post is already long, and I need to spend more time in the game and unlock that car that totally isn't a Trans Am...
Really good suggestions here, thanks for the input!
But thought I'd make another post basically comfirming/clarifying career related stuff.
-Repairs
Have to repair the car between races was never an issue, and the only times I didn't repair was when I forgot. Even then, a few repair power ups early on in the race was usually enough to get back to full health.
-Low Tier Cars
It seems specific cars are tier to specific tiers, which is fine. But there's no reason to keep old cars once you progress. You also can't add late game upgrades to low tier cars. I do like the "do what you want" mentality, but I think it would be fun to have some late game races for low tier cars. I know it's not that type of game, but it's a shame to have all those cars that you use once or twice, if at all, during the carear.
-Track Selection/Rotation
When I unlocked a track, there was no way to play it, or know what it was, aside from going into single race. Either way, you have to hope it comes up as one of the random picks. I guess this is to stop people grinding easy courses, but I think it would be nice to have an option to play specific tracks, or newly unlocked tracks.
I could nit pick stuff, but yeah, if there is a sequel, I hope it's good.
EDIT- Clarified the repairs suggestion.
Disagree. On impossible difficulty you usually run out of HP very quickly, so in my vision number of repair packs is more than ok on each track.
Yes, we understand. For a sequel it would be cool to introduce damage per part of the car, so that you have to actually replace/fix problems with your engine/gearbox/etc. This however should be different than overall "health" of the vehicle, if we want to keep arcade feeling of dying/restoring health in the game.
