The (Needed) Anti-Aliasing in this Game makes it look worse than Smite 1
Essentially it is known that many UE5 and some UE4 games are made in such a way where it is mandatory to use AntiAliasing and specifically any Temporal Anti Aliasing (TAA/TSR). The issue is that this obviously makes the game look very blurry or grainy in some cases. I recently returned to Smite 1 to do some achievements and missions, I noticed that Smite 1 Looks far superior in clarity and performance. Obviously Smite 2 is in Apha of which there are and will be improvements and that is why these posts are made to emphasize these things.
There is even a big community that supports anti-TAA on reddit from what I have noticed.
Thankfully they have added FSR now which makes for a performance boost in some cases or lower-end systems but for medium-higher end systems it offers not as much benefit. It is cool to have though for some extra FPS depending on the monitor.

Either way TAA/TSR seem to cause less artifacts unless I am mistaken on that, sadly the blurry effect remains since it is still an AA. What is baffling is that it even requires AA in the first place because of the enormous amount of aliasing at least in comparison to Smite 1 which does not even need it.
Specifically with 120% Resolution Size there is almost zero aliasing but even at 100% the difference is huge.
If you turn-off AA on settings and go to any map or for example load up Ares and look at his shield while he is animated, you will notice how huge the aliasing is. Now I am not too familiar with the technicalities of UE5 other than the rendering pipeline having to work differently to provide lumen lighting. I have added in the feedback amongst other improvements, such as adding gods, fixing known bugs and so on, I have also included that as a priority for the graphical side of things so AA is only optional and not mandatory out of necessity. I have been playing since the Beta of Smite 1 and Really want for Smite 2 to improve.
PS: This update may have worsen the performance a bit but would have to test more. Hopefully they rebalance optimization.

the game looks worse with TAA on it looks blurry if you load into jungle practice and look at the jungle camps their faces are blurry but if you turn AA off or turn on MSAA they are clear... still grainy but you can see the jungle camps face

But yeah the game looks blurry / grainy ... as for DLSS FSR i don't use it cause in smite 2 it's causing ghosting for me the ruler/line will have a trail some times even on the enemy gods them selfs... but i can't play when things are blurry and not clear and TAA makes everything look like a blurry mess for me.

SMITE 2 performance is still not great it's improved a ton since alpha 1 in may but for a moba it turns my PC into a leaf blower on low settings
