Do they get more damage or resources as they get higher in difficulty?

I would like to see the harder difficulties be more challenging. God mode presents no real challenge anymore and with so few online PVP matches being held it would be nice to have something more difficult to practice with.

my friend and I played a few games and it kinda seems like whoever wins the first event wins the game, since that's how all our games went.
