I got this game as a christmas present, cause my boyfriend and I love adventure time too. And if we saw that it gots a local co-op it was perfect. But no one know how it work, and everybody is just complaining about it :/

Yep, my wife and I wanted to play it together and it looks like we can't even add a second character. Frustrating, to say the least.

Hey guys,
I just tried it with two controllers and it works.
Go to options and set P1 to controller. Then go to the bottom of the options page and select P2 and go to the top and set it to controller, too. Works fine for me with 2 XBOX360 controllers for PC. Hope that helps

Regards

Edit:

Oh yeah, when you can choose your character P2 has to join.

Unfortunately for my brother and I, we only have logitech controllers and the game is unresponsive to them. We see the icons for Xbox controller buttons in the key config so xbox controllers might be the only type the game is responsive to at the moment.

sadly i cant just go get another xbox controller whenever i want

There's no way to do co-op without more than one xbox controllers. It woln't even recoginze other game controlers.

I did even worse - I bought two copies of the game, for me and for my wife. Imagine how frustrated I am now. I am fuging furious.

You could just use the x360ce controller emulator, I use it to get my logitech to play dark souls

Hey guys, thought I would put this out there to salve some wounds. My wife took it upon herself to contact Wayforward games and they said they were aware of the keyboard plus gamepad issue, and will be publishing a patch soon to fix it. How soon, I can't say... but at least it will be soon. I will say that we were both pleasantly surprised that they got back to her so quickly (about 12 hours, including overnight).

Also, we were able to play together last night, not with a keyboard, but with a Playstation 3 controller and an Xbox controller. To get the PS3 controller recognized as an Xbox controller I used the utility posted here (replace the 'xx' with 'tt'):

hxxp:/forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-XInput-Wrapper-for-DS3-and-Play-com-USB-Dual-DS2-Controller

Worked a treat on my system with a DualShock 3 under Windows7 x64 Ultimate. Your results may vary, and I make no claims that utility won't blow up your computer, punch your dog, and steal your 401k.

Acually there is multiplay, if you go to "option > controller config > keyboard player" then press/swipe left or right to change how much players there are. "Hope that helps! :D ^_^"
