Using mouse buttons "Alt-Tabs" me out of the game!
Hello,

I have this frustrating problem where whenever I use one of my mouse buttons (left click, right click or even mousewheel to access my phone), there is about 80 % chance that I find myself back to my desktop. I then click the Watch Dogs icon in my task bar to get back into the game, unpause and then try to click again, hoping it won't Alt-Tab me out again.

It's really game-breaking and I didn't find anyone else who has this problem, which makes me think it's on my end. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this issue? I use a Razer Naga Epic and I only seem to have this problem with Watch Dogs.

a friend of mine has this exact problem, so you are not alone, and id be interested to see if there is actually a solution, have you tried verifying you game files? are you using a controller and mouse/keyboard? (my friend is using both) are your mouse/keyboard/cotroller drivers up to date?

Let me guess. You got an AMD GPU and have 2 or more monitors connected? Yes?

Even with an nvidia GPU, the game doesn't manage to constrain the mouse properly when in a multi-monitor setup.

Ok that's a shame then. I don't know about Nvidia, but I do know what causes it for AMD and how to fix it.

If people happen to stumble upon this topic that have an AMD.

When you install the AMD drivers it also installs this annoying little program called AMD Gaming Evolved that runs in the background. When you shut it down it fixes the problem that the mouse goes off to the other monitor.

Just look for AMD Gaming Evolved in the taskbar where you see active programs and close it.

If you want to uninstall this program just go to the windows control panel -> Uninstall a program -> look for the name "Raptr". That's the AMD Gaming Evolved program.

I just edited my post above. I'm not sure if this will help him, because he only uses one screen, but he can try atleast to close it.

You all guessed right, I have 2 monitors (one is shut down though), an AMD GPU, AMD Gaming Evolved installed and running and a controller plugged in (though it is old and incompatible with Watch Dogs apparently). For the record, AMD drivers are up to date and game files are fine according to Steam. I will try to play with this stuff and tell you if anything got fixed.

Alright, good luck. I hope it does anything for you as it did for me.

Well it looks like YOUR FIX WORKS, Duke, thank you! Unplugging my controller didn't help but getting rid of the Raptr-in-Game feature and closing the AMD Gaming Evolved seems to have fixed the problem. I can finally get back to orderin' free rides and shootin' people freely!
