How to Change controls

Can anyone tell how to change controls in or out of the game cause the usual in game controls button is now working for me :(

I don't believe there is any way to change the controls :P

There is a fan patch for it. I think it changes other thinks, too I'm afraid.

I actually disliked the controls, too. But actually, when you want to play strategically, turn based mode ([ENTER]) seems to work better anyway. (When you fight several enemies and need to be quick and choose your actions). Then you have all the time to deal with the controls.

Well you see , i have finished this M&M part twice and i know , the controls , can be changed pressing ESC - Controls - Controls , but the last controls button is not functioning :( my main problem is that , i cant look down , only up :( So that kinda sucks :D just wanted to try english version of this one , since they made such a great gift =^_^=

You sure you do not confuse it with Might and Magic 7? Standard for looking down is [DEL]

The controls are tolerable - but not great. What drives me nuts is I turned the music down all the way, then up all the way, then back down - and it makes no difference. I want it turned off but the control for it doesn't seem to work. I'm enjoying this game again- been years and years since I owned it. It's better than MM-X so far... I hope they fix up that game.

Yea so my russian version has Alterable controls but this one doesnt :D .... Strange eh ? and seems MM-X will be ONLY turn based :( Well i gues they can never make something better then the old ones :( i would really love to see any of the old part in MM-X graphics :)

You could see the old party in MM-X graphics. Once the editor is out im sure some fans will re create the maps of the old games.

I'm having the same problem. I can look down and up but I cannot fly because my page-up button doe snot work in game. I don't know what is causing this but it is very annoying

Install GrayFace fan patch. That will give you full mouselook functionality ingame plus the ability to change controls. It also adds more fixes and improvements. Theres a thread about it on these forums with instructions.

update: turns out it is not my page up button that is not working, it is the fly spell. it is cast on me but for some reason it does not work at all. this is confirmed with mm6 controls

Fly spell works fine. Im using GrayFace patch so im able to set my own controls. I have fly at mousewheel. Using the very first Fly scroll you find in the first town with my sorcerer and i can controll up and down movement with the mousewheel.

In MM6Controls you can't change key combinations like 'Ctrl'+'Left' ets... I want bind sidestep to 'A' and 'D' - it's possible?

Not exactly, but you can reverse the behavior if you set the AlwaysStrafe in MM6.ini to 1.
This changes the turn left and turn right keys into sidestepping and only turns if you hold down CTRL.
