Studios that take EGS handouts are giving clear signals they have no confidence in their product and thus should be ignored completely by the fandom.
The ONLY exception i make to that rule is Sins of the Solar Empire 2, and it breaks my heart they drank the Kool Aid. But for a fleet combat game of that scale I might be tempted enough to fold on my standards just once :D
Devs need to eat. I don't fault anyone for taking money where they can get it. Making games takes years and years, better to have a game on EGS than not at all.
