Yeah that might be it. I'm not lvl 20 and won't be for a while.
social part is gone from mmos, its just join guild, run raids, grind - everything else is done via discord
Someone made a thread recently saying Discord killed sociability in games. They're right.
The last MMO I played was New World and before that it was GW2 and in both games I was satisfied with player interactions.
Maybe this behavioural change happened in the last year or so.
Or it's indeed that people that don't mind p2w mechanics are also less social ingame.
One could probably have a look at BDO or LA to see how they compare in the social aspect.

If anyone has played an Amazon game (especially New World).
You will know they give out PERMANENT bans for the smallest thing.
It is actually funny how an MMORPG now reflects the real world.
People are too afraid too say anything in case they offend someone.
