No RMT Allowed? Really?
Paying another player $5 for loot? Not allowed.
Giving Amazon $5 for "100 rubies" and then buy the same loot?

According to Amazon's Term of Service:

In-Game Items are attributes of gameplay that have meaning only in the virtual and fictional world of the Game; they have no monetary value, are not real-world currency, and cannot be resold or redeemed for cash. You agree that you have no ownership or property interest in any of the In-Game Items that we attribute to your account, or to any Game Content we authorize you to access, regardless of any effort, real-world money or other consideration you may have exchanged for access to an In-Game Item or Game Content.

RMT is allowed as long as Amazon gets 100% of the money. Any money you spend in this game is a pure donation to a trillion dollar company. People were right, it's not pay2win. It's like going to a casino without being able to cash out. pay2lose. :steamfacepalm:

Duh. Back in the day, MMOs had subscription fees. RMT wasn't allowed because it shortened the time you were subscribed to game and basically paid someone else for what the developer wanted to earn. You couldn't buy or sell accounts because forcing you to get it yourself would rack up the subscription fees. They actually though EverQuest would last them 10 years. Players were done with it in months. So they started having to add time-gated endgame content to keep people subscribed. That's why all MMOs that copied their formula follow this janky questing and progression system up to max and then just stick you in raids all the time. Like totally different games leveling vs endgame become.

Fast forward to Korean cash shops, pay to win, Diablo 3 RMT, and other games that have done it. Devs are okay with you wanting to pay for power and skip the grind... as long as they get paid for it instead of a 3rd party reseller using their servers to bot grind gold day and night to sell at their expense.

If this game was exactly the same, but it had NFT implementation? It would be extremely criticized and ran to the ground. We are willingly giving away our autonomy. As long as it has Triple-A psychiatrists finding the best way to mask it's predatory practices? It's all good.

To put it bluntly? We're starving. There hasn't been a proper MMO since 2014. New World was hugely successful because people were desperate. All the big developers from the old days when multiple MMOs came out every year went over to mobile platform. NCSoft themselves are one of them. They vanished after Wildstar and have been developing mobile games for a decade. Now they're back with this crap.

Know what MMOs came out around 2014? FFXIV, Elder Scrolls Online, Black Desert... they're all still alive and going strong as some of the top MMOs because they have no one coming after them to compete. People have given up on MMO development and all the kickstarter ones have been straight scams.

There's still a market for MMORPGs. Always has been. But the investors decided to stop gambling on them when mobile games are like printing cash.

Imagine actually complaining about anti-RMT rules in a free to play MMO. First time playing an MMO?

What do you mean? They are pro-RMT. Except, instead of having a private buyer and seller, they have only one seller. You buy currency from the game, which they will print out of thin air with no shame. Then you use the currency you just paid for with real world currency to trade with. RMT with extra steps.

I can just imagine an Amazon lawyer in court using legal garble to defend this.
“It’s not RMT because we are selling the gold. You buy gold with USD. It’s not RMT because it is not a trade. It is a service to deposit free gold into your account in exchange for USD.”

I'm sorry, I thought I spoke plainly but I realize there is a big issue with illiteracy nowadays. Let me put it as simply as I can for you. RMT = bot hell.

Its a free to play mmorpg, it´s not a NFT game. Even if u "donate" $5 to Amazon, if no one its selling the item, u cant buy it.
At the moment there is no MMORPG that doesn't have some kind of payment system. Even the old and worn out L2 has it, and the private servers are pure RMT even though the game on those servers could be F2P.

And this is how any different?
It has two endgame contents: random generic dungeons, zerg pvp for a castle. That has been done countless times .. including literally new world. The game offers nothing new whatsoever.

You can do anything in life as long as you don't get caught. :lunar2019laughingpig:
