The most Toxic Community I've ever experienced in an MMO

I've played a lot of MMO's in my time, but TnL has won cream of the crop for the most Toxic player base I have ever seen in a video game. It's got everything a toxic player base needs.

Elitism, non-communication, meta try hards, GvG exploitation, discrimination towards lesser geared & console players. I mean, jeez... Anything else I'm missing?

Calling it now, this game is going to die in a year because it's player base is so toxic no one will want to play it.

You didn't mention top guilds gate keeping all the content possible (like calling Eclipse 5 minutes before World Boss portals opens up in Abyssal Dunegons) and spamming in guilds (like 3 or even 4 sub-guild to zerg everything possible). All fully geared up obviously spending lot of money on Lucent (arguably using stolen credit cards cause nobody would buy so much Lucent unless they are milionaire).

Trying to win doesn't mean treating everyone as expendable fodder is acceptable.

Every new f2p mmo gets worse since around 10 years, actualy this is truly the peak of the peaks. but you miss the point that Guilds cheated there ranks, and the kill score leaderboard also, In addition there are leaked guild chats from the top Guilds that shows there sociopathic mindset towards children and what they like to do or what they already did to them. but you cant do anything against them cause they are the ones who pay the most, so NCSoft or Amazon wont do anything cause actualy TnL is the main makes the main income of all there products.

Also you get perma griefed while playing, they steal mobs, steal kills, steal loot by knocking the mini bosses around so that melees cant do dmg and dont get any loot, In dungeons they dont read the chat until its a whipe but then they can instantly blame and insult everyone, there are no Roles and Rules, everyone is running around like Chicken on Dope. You cant do your job as a tank cause everyone pulls except the tank and then you get blamed if they die. The Greed and Selfish behavious is raising to a new maximum every day.

I am unsure how no one saw this coming??? Communities are very very different from the L2 days. Most MMO now are glorified toxic 4chan chatrooms. And politics jesus christ NO ONE GIVES A ♥♥♥♥ WHO YOU ARE VOTING FOR.........

this problems are house made from NCSoft. They disgned this game in a way that encourage players to behave in this way.

Nope, you don't get that toxic behaviour in every mmo, lotro or EQ/EQ2 has none of it. You've just been playing the wrong mmo's.

all the elitists grouping up and forcing other to pay dozens of gold to even join the raids.


though here u don't need to pay the players, just the game itself.

That's exactly what the game is about. Throne and Liberty is actually pretty tame in that regard because PvP is very limited. Try playing Albion online, EVE online or Lineage 2M and you will get to like how you can just avoid PvP activities in this game without much of a loss.
