Will it? Likely not. I like the game! But i dont want others in the North America region to end up not liking it.
This kind of reasoning is why we are getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥ games with stupid monetization systems nowadays, but its ok, things will not got back to normal, miss when we used to get games aiming to be fun or a piece of art, not dollar print machines
I don't think I ever will, even after waiting 13 years for this game.
Damn you NCS, burn in hell.
This is probably a step to combat RMT, which are notorious in any game that has any kind of trade.
Would you prefer no trade at all? Lots of players would complain about that too.
So more like a pay 2 progress kind of thing, but i do not want to hang my head outside for this information.
Either way if we are totaly real, then even if that game has had no RMT involved, there still would be players purchasing for real money and there most likely will be anyways plenty of them, that purchase everything inside and outside of this game, next to even using botsoftware.
In World of Warcraft it is just like that, you can purchase everything.
My idea is to just keep playing as long as it is enjoyable and once you hit those highly disturbing spots, just finish and quit the game and keep the good memories.
Usually im an anti pay 2 win guy, yet still i purchased last WoW expansion or even threw some money into Black Desert Online…
It still was fun enough untill a certain point but probably wouldve never done it, when there was a proper MMO, but im guessing there never will be a good one again.
Just selling cosmetics literally makes any RPG a trash one, ruining item values to its core.
Oh i forgot… there will be different servers for launch, the pay 2 win botting crowd most likely goes with the 5 days headstart and the ones less likely to pay 5 days later on new and fair servers, so there is that too
However if i think about that one, this may be marketing research purposes for amazon, check out players behaviour in upcoming products, figure out how many pay for headstart, who complains alot and still throws cash in and all these kind of things.
I highly doubt that even amazon doesnt know the importance of a fresh MMO start and how important it is to let all players start at the same day.
Is like they punish you with grind if you don't pay as much as they say.
And they can anytime increase the grind, to get more cash.
That's why monthly subscription without any lucient buying would ensure that developers balance the game for fun.
