If you REALLY want to get server and you are not here to troll, then I would advise you to go to the official discord, as developers DON'T check this forum.
:(...
Thne there is probably no hope.
I'm assuming they did their market research and decided it's not worth opening server in Australia?
Is Ocenian region allowed to play without vpn?
https://blog.cloudflare.com/the-relative-cost-of-bandwidth-around-the-world
I can understand why an OCE specific server might not be feasible, but a Singapore server would adequately serve both the SEA region and OCE region better than a Japan server

If so, I think that's just saying that the game is now playable from those countries, but the actual server regions haven't changed (or at least there is no mention of it)
This is not even global version of the game.
This is just ncsoft giving possibility to ppl from thos regions to play on their (kr) servers) afaik.

People would be naive to think no company wants a piece of that pie.
Now here is some math for you all. America's gaming industry is worth 53 billion dollars. Australia has a population of 27 million and USA has a population of 350 million. Do the math on potential revenue on average per person.
Australia is on average making $161.9 per person
USA is making $151.4 per person
Imagine that.....
The online gaming industry in 2023 was a $100 billion dollar industry. With current world wide population growth and spending forecasts, 2033 is showing it will be around the $280-$300 billion mark with the potential to be more based on internet connectivity and speeds getting better and better yearly.
Australia's population alone has grown over 2 million people in 5 years, some of the most radical growth of countries around the world due to our migration policies which will only fuel more money in to this industry.
Its simply time for companies to wake up and start servicing us, especially as AGS stated, that T&L would be supported in Australia, specifically in their release announcement.
That information is so wrong and horrible dated too. AWS who most mmorpg gaming servers use these days are all pretty much the same price. Not opening a server in Oceania is just laziness but, it's the same with any eastern developers. They never give us anything hence we don't give them money. They won't give us a server so that's their problem, not ours. We have plenty of choices and many upcoming, if they want to shoot their own feet, that's on them. Ignorance is bliss.
you don't have to host the patches the media the websites in Australia only the game server
patch/media/website would take up 95% of the data bandwidth requirement for the players
