step 2. assign a person to work in the golden llama
Very interesting!
I've been enjoying RedKetchup's Mediaeval Banished buildings - but I feel a bit Golden Llama coming on....
Funny thing is that the whole Golden Llama theme (giant statue, adventurer, name of the new version) was all implemented two days before release; idea on Friday, release on Sunday. We were sitting there wrapping things up, play-testing new starting conditions, polishing features, squashing bugs, and trying to come up with a name for the new version... when suddenly, someone somehow (ShockPuppet most likely) just had the idea of "wouldn't it be cool if there was a giant golden llama statue?" And it just grew into a big thing we based the theme around! We even added the palm trees because of that! Initially, it was going to be named after the gold digging feature, but the names we came up with didn't stick.
