CC Curse of the Golden Llama Mod
Help with Adventurer please. I cannot find the building I need to build to get an Adventurer? I'm not even sure if that's how it works?

I haven't gotten to it yet, but you can probably find or get a quick response in Colonial Charter forums[colonialcharter.com]. The devs and experts are quick to help and the wiki might have the answer your're looking for

step 1. click on the golden llama
step 2. assign a person to work in the golden llama

You need to make sure that the starting conditions of the new city has the Curse of Golden Llama Hard, Medium or Easy. Then when you start the map, it's right there, next to your settlement. Just assign an adventurer and you're done.

Haven't got around to playing it myself yet, but according to Skye Storme's gameplays on youtube, the adventurer has a high risk of death, so you might want to wait until you have excess population. The entrance to the Golden Lama's cave seems to be on the statue's left side.

Oh thank you everyone, I didn't choose the right starting conditions, so there was no golden llama for me, therefore no adventurer. Looks like I'll have to start over.

It.s true that deaths will occur more frequently for your adventurer, but as soon as you have 10+ laborers at a steady rate, it's good to assign him. The adventurer will bring back native artifacts and then you can sell those artifacts in your trading port for 2500 apiece!!! Wow... I had like 20 artifacts accumulating dust somewhere in the city... I put them in the ports and I had all this extra exchange for food and materials, and helped me grow the city faster than usual. It's really amazing.

Very interesting!

I've been enjoying RedKetchup's Mediaeval Banished buildings - but I feel a bit Golden Llama coming on....

Glad to hear you like our mod!

Funny thing is that the whole Golden Llama theme (giant statue, adventurer, name of the new version) was all implemented two days before release; idea on Friday, release on Sunday. We were sitting there wrapping things up, play-testing new starting conditions, polishing features, squashing bugs, and trying to come up with a name for the new version... when suddenly, someone somehow (ShockPuppet most likely) just had the idea of "wouldn't it be cool if there was a giant golden llama statue?" And it just grew into a big thing we based the theme around! We even added the palm trees because of that! Initially, it was going to be named after the gold digging feature, but the names we came up with didn't stick.
