B) go into the steam folder, delete the .blob files (there will be one, usually two).
C) Reboot and go back into steam
If that doesn't work - delete the game content, do the above again, and try to reinstall again.
I think I'm going to try to open a support ticket with steam about this. Something's not right. I'm sick and tired of trying to install my steam games. All my other games installed just fine. The Glyph installer actually installed Rift and Defiance faster than under 32 bit Win 7.
any way to bypass the problem?
thanks in advance
Yeah... read the bloody posts in the thread.
I did read the bloody posts, and it didn't work.
Then say so, or we'll assume you didn't read a thing; the only thing they'll tell you to do is the above post by Dark Elf. Might take a few tries.
appearently, steam dislikes some connection configs, those including some wi-fi connections, which I was using. now, with an ethernet plugd, its flowing nonstop.
at remarkable 30kbps. yes, 30 freaking Kbps.
anyone ever experienced low download speeds as this one?
anyways, I suggestyou guys trying it, maybe its just my connetion that sucks
A lot of computers' wifi adapters have limits on them; it's not typically program related as it is router/wifi adapter related.
In the meantime, it's always superior to use a CAT5 or CAT6 cable connection from wifi, even with a 5.0 dual band.
