As for freezing they need firewood, and when they start to freeze they go unresponsive and just walk around all frantic like. So if they start freezing they're pretty much dead unless someone else who isn't freezing gets firewood to a house. You only need one house with a fire though, because everyone can use it to warm up.
Then next thing is, that the people are changing their roles (meant are jobs) just so. The number of e.g. farmers itself doesn't change, but I don't like that (it's unrealistic) and I think this is not good for the economy aswell :/
And last but not least there are always problems when it comes to the builder who has to build some buildings: Instead of building the house with the existing ressources he's more likely doing the laborer tasks until they're done XD And it seems that the builder AI doesn't include the task of bringing the ressources to the construction site. I assume that this task is done by random workers like the laborer task is done this way, which affects the economy again.
I seriously don't want to say that the Ai or the hole game is dumb. The opposite is true :) It's an awesome experience and the developper deserves all respect I can bring. I only want to give constructive criticism to make the game an even better one so please don't take this post the wrong way ^_^
That's becasue you can't see the forest for the trees. Stop trying to micromanage your villagers and focus and plan better on your "city building" and you'll see just how smart this ai is.
But I also "want" some simulation aspects like that the people don't change their jobs just so ^^ In the end I would tend to the hardcore side ;)
