How to get wool and leather?

So my tailor can make some clothes ..
I don't want it from trade ..

Leather is gotten from hunters when they kill "wild game" and from cows (livestock), wool is acquired from sheep (livestock) which you have to trade to get, unless playing on easy.

Ok thx .. I started out with herdsman at first, but I find it much more simple to just farm a lot, so havent used them since, but when I did I couldn't choose what animals to get. You have to get the sheeps from trade?
I have a hunters cabin actually, but have only gotten 12 leather for 2 seasons .. I only have 1 guy on it though ..

You get leather from cattle too.

So far, I didnt notice any effect of clothing. And that is on hard/harsh weather. I completely ignore clothing and the guys just dont get cold fast enough.

I have a lot of guys getting cold in winter ..

I have LOTS of pastures -- something like 8 each of sheep & cows. I have 15 tailors making warm clothes (wool + leather) and wool clothes, and I still usually have a surplus of wool. I have three trading posts & stock them with 500 each of warm coats & wool coats. I get a merchant ship about every 15 minutes, and sell out for 6000 - 12000 food.

Without clothes your citizens wont be able to spend as much time at work

There is no Sheep options, just fcking CHICKENS. What should I do to get sheeps?

When I start a new game, one of the things I take a look at is which livestock I'm getting. In vanilla, I don't pick a map with chickens. In Colonial Charter, I don't pick one with horses - but chickens are fine - you can produce "survival coats" with the feathers produced and reeds from the dock set.

You can get live stock from traders.

Make sure you are buying the animal and not the food.Look at the price.
