I'd return it if you have warranty.
Thanks for all the information guys. Not really what I wanted to hear, but helpful nontheless. Really irritated that I broke the bank on this thing back in October and already need to replace it. Going to try and talk to someone over there and see if they'll at least credit me if not repalce it.
Just curious, what model is it? Not all of their monitors are very good for gaming.
I had done some research but apparently not enough. I picked it up on sale at NewEgg for 130 and it was tough for me to drop that much on it. Really didn't have the cash to go higher then that, but now I'm kind of regretting it.
Chances are newegg wont rma it for you since you purchased in november but it cant hurt to try anyways. I'd bet asus will attempt to repair it for you or swap you out with a refurb. I cant imagine a game causing burn in due to any graphical setting or any issue or bug with the game. Its most definitely a hardware issue. I've been wrong many, many times before though, haha.
Even though burn in isnt covered under most warrenties I believe they will still try to assist you in getting the problem resolved. Customer service is really really big these days.
Good luck.
If you calibrate the monitor using some of the resources online you should suffer from it less.
