Price issue - might skip this on steam
Why is the price of this game 18.99€? That's like 26 US Dollars! Americans are only paying 19.99USD, I don't understand why I must pay 6 extra dollars for the same exact copy. On GoG this game is exactly 19.99 USD which is 14€. Why do Europeans get an unfair price every time? Why not mark down the price so the devs end up selling more copies, since the game would be a bit cheaper thus more accessible, and get more sales in Europe for the same price as they're selling it on the US market?

I'm tired of this "tax" just for being in Europe. Not everyone in Europe is super-rich and it's not like you're spending extra money on shipping physical copies of your game to some obscure corner of Europe.

this is not a physical good that is subject to transport, fuel costs, etc.
It's a digital download. the delivery costs the same in the whole world.

In the humble bundle store and the developer page this products costs 4-5€ less.
and also is given DRM free.
buy it there, because they give you a steam key. AND the drm free copy

its steam thats doing it not developper

Don't waste time,
One that makes such remarks as the op has no idea on how basic consumer product markets work all over the world...
I wonder if he asks his local store to pay toilet paper the same as they do in Burkina Faso...

Except for the fact that I'm not buying a physical copy from a local retailer, if you read my original post you'd understand the point. It's ok, I bought the game from a competitor that offers the product for cheaper, it's called free market :^)

So, you are complaining becasue your currency is worth more?

I'm complaining because developers and publishers keep doing the same unfair exchange rate of $1 = 1€ on purpose to get more money from Europeans when they have zero reason to do so.

Doesn't hardly seem fair, does it? I love this game, but $26 American is high.

The problem isn't that $26 is high, it's that people these days consider $26 to be high.

problem is not 26 is hight problem is that it should be 19 not 26 thats why buying it from developper side is best option expelialy since you get steam key with it for 15€ like its suposed to be

We can't help it your currency is worthless as a sack of crap.

So it's pretty obvious Count Dracula has low IQ and probably still a developing child living with his parents.

Time to move on, next discussion.

Oh okay I have a low IQ because I pointed out that steam has an unfair pricing system and competitors like GoG offer a better deal? How about you stop being such a fanboy?

It's just a basic fact that steam lost my sale on this game because someone else was offering it for a fairer price. Oh and it's not just about the money, 19€ is pocket change but if GoG offers the same thing for less I'm going to buy it from them. Also, if you still think it's just about the extra $6 and it's not such a big deal, how about every time you buy a $20 game you take $6 from your wallet and burn them?

I don't understand how pointing out the fact that a digital distributor is charging more for a digital copy of a game a sign of low IQ and lack of understanding of anything.

Because Steam hates europeans, good news is that they will be forced to pay taxes soon instead of hiding in taxparadises.
