Can you assign/remove specific villagers to jobs?
Is it possible to assign / remove a job on a specific villager? Can I assign a specific person to be a blacksmith, then if I need to pull them off being a blacksmith to work in the fields, reassign that person specifically back to a blacksmith when I no longer need them in the field?

I know there are two places to assign and remove villagers to jobs - the overview screen where you can raise / lower a comprehensive list of all the jobs, and the job building screen, where you can raise / lower the people working at that building. However, I have not found a way to assign / remove a job from a specific person.

Yes, there is a way to assign villagers to specific jobs. Down below on your right you have a bar , push on the second one ''Tools & Report''. Then push on the button ''Assign job to citizens''. After that a new option comes up at top right. You can then use the arrows on the side of the job and add more or less workers to a specific area. The starter job is ''Laborer''.

Does that let you assign a job specifically to "Citizen #52" or take a job away from "Citizen #52" ? I'm looking to assign a job to a specific citizen, not assign a specific job to citizens.
Don't think so, I wouldn't mind that too either.

No, not that i know of.
You can sort of do what you desire. Not specifically however if you unassigned all citizens then reassign them. The citizen who lives closest to the job site will get the job

If you're trying to min-max citizens' houses and their workplaces, it's not necessary. The game will actually shift jobs around periodically, and try to match the closest worker with a specific workplace. This happens even without firing all workers and reassigning.

True Onyx and some times it does so great only to kill you on the next re assign by giving the job to one with a task to the north pole, workers with tasks don't drop them to go to the new job. they won't get to their assignment until its way to late. It truly needs a fire this choice and higher that one.. Workers also seem to have a very varied temperment some are horrid at the job while others seem brilliant..
