Any cheat codes out yet?
Yes, I know it just came out, but I'd still like them.

They're not bugs - that's kind of The Game, there. Figuring out how to keep everyone alive is...sort of the point.

Do the tutorials, read the help docs, and then try to think like a 15th-16th Century Farmer would. Don't play at 10x, play at 2x. Plan ahead. Realize that farms produce a lot, but it won't happen until Autumn.

My second village (Small/Medium/Disasters/Mild) is at 56 years and ~330 people, and I didn't starve or freeze a single person (altho man, was it ever close a whole bunch of times :) )

I made it 100 years, kinda got bored so cheats would be nice to get past the first stupid 5 years of low food or low tools. I like testing the mods but i cant build the fun stuff when i start a new town cuz im focused on surviving. So cheats would be dope

I dunno maby to just make a really perfect and good looking vilage?
Why dose it bother you that he wants to cheat at a single player game?

Some of the best games ever made contain Cheat Codes. To mix things up when you've completed the game, or make it easier on you for the first playthrough (to then go at it without them, or only some. later on.)

or in the case of Age of empires, to enable launching cows from catapults.

If you want the full truth. An easier way to play is by having all those 'increased yeild mods' active and also. the one thing that the guides on here sometimes overlook is that having loads of houses is surely a great thing... but ONLY if you have a market that covers them all (or multiple markets... Or use the smaller vendors mod and have loads of them for houses) without this, food gets taken by whoever gets there first and they horde it in masses (i once had a family of 2 with a house who had 500 fish, venison and grapes and the others were starving).

This is a very curious thread. I am not sure why you would want cheats for the game when you havent gotten very far in the first place. The complaint you are making is the whole point of the game any way. You are supposed to try to have people live while growing your town...and see how far you get. Wanting to have cheats is a cowards way out in my opinion. There really is not an end of game point in the game...it is more of the goals you set for your self. So, if you use cheats, you miss the entire point of the game and the challenge.

This being said, there are no cheats, but there are mods that pretty much are cheats. More wood, stone and iron from resources are just a few. Faster roads is another. Go browse the mods and make sure you look in more than one place for them. I think there are at least 4 places to get mods for this game. I use mods(yes, even the ones considerd cheats)because i have played the game without them and have made it work and am now trying to go big and have a sprawling community to see how far I can go.

But to be honest, wanting cheats before you have even tested your abilities is pretty weak. Dont give up so fast. This game has some great challenges if you give it a chance. Test your self and try to get it done without cheats. Go to the help and tips sticky in this forum and READ IT!!!! It has some very good info if you are having trouble. Based on what the OP said, he has not gotten very far and has given up. Dont do this just because you cant figure it out. Try a little harder, think for a change, dont expect others to figure it out for you. Engage your brain. This game is not that hard if you do these things.

Again, this is not a rant about using cheats! This is some help to get you going on a fairly easy game that does not have cheats.

If you are still having trouble with this game after all this info, then there is only one thing left to do.

Shut off the computer, get out of the basement and have your mommy make you a nice PBJ and a glass of milk. Maybe she will give you a hug too.

I like how no one bothers to check anything before they even open their mouth.

First off, I did get the hang of the game. I have almost all of the achievements unlocked.

Second, I didn't find it as fun as it could have been as if I had cheat codes. Some of us do just want a casual game and it's very rude to tell someone they're not good or don't want an OMG so hardcore game, they need to go outside or try to insult someone's age or whatever rude nonese you keep spewing out of your keyboard.

If someone else's idea of fun is to tailor it to what they find fun, that's perfectly okay. Your rudeness is not neccessary and very very unwelcome.
